Climate Change

On Thursday 21st June I attended a Local Goverment Association(LGA)Climate Change Commission Roadshow. These roadshows are attended by councillors, council officials and representatives of other organisations that recognise the importance of engaging with the problems of climate change.

Speakers included Professor John Chesshire who provided valuable information about current government thinking and the actions and partnerships formed to deal with the problem.

There were then workshops where delegates discussed possible approaches to the challenges created by "Existing Housing Stock" and "Planning and New Buildings".

The day was full of ideas and very stimulating and I took away a list of things To Do! I will use this website to report back ways that MSDC is reacting positively to the climate change challenge and also to provide information about what actions householders can take.
